Event Summary | This course, which covers key aspects of subject leadership, is an excellent introduction for teachers who have recently taken on a middle/subject leadership role for the first time. | ||||||
Event description | During this course we will explore the key elements required in order to be an effective subject leader. This will include: • Being a subject leader - what does it entail? • Knowing your subject and how it is taught in your school • Identifying strengths and weaknesses • Writing a development plan • Your monitoring role o Lesson observations o Work scrutiny o Gathering and analysing data • Supporting colleagues • Managing resources Delegates will be provided with a range of practical ideas to support them in carrying out their role effectively. |
